Over 30 vehicles participated in the third annual Hocking Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary Car Show, Saturday, despite the rain.
Twenty seven cars were awarded prizes at the event, which was held in the parking lot of the CIC building. Car enthusiasts, Ike Carter and Chris Helms, served as judges for the top 25. HVCH Auxiliary Board President, Christy Keynes, presented the Board Award, and Logan Mayor Martin Irvine, chose the winner of the Mayor’s Choice Award. “We had a nice crowd and a wide variety of vehicles”, shared Kathy Krumlauf, Director of Community Relations at HVCH.
Jim McLin, HVCH Radiology Tech, served as disc jockey and played a selection of classic tunes. Drawings were held for many prizes, which were generously donated by local businesses. This year the event raised $1,360.00. All the money raised will be used to purchase equipment for HVCH.

James Simonton of Nelsonville, was the winner of the Board Award for his 1959 Chevy El Camino
Chris Altier , won the Mayor’s Choice Award for his 1973 Dodge Charger. The award was presented by Mayor Martin Irvine.
