|Julie Stuck, BSN, RN, MHA
Chief Executive Officer - Julie Stuck, current CEO of Hocking Valley Community Hospital, previously worked at Wheeling Hospital Medical Park in Wheeling, West Virginia, as staff nurse in the Emergency Department. She also served as staff nurse in the ER/Trauma Center at The Ohio State University Medical Center where she was promoted to Assistant Nurse Manager for five years and Director for one year.
She began working at HVCH in 1998, coming to us as the new Emergency Department Director. Soon she was promoted to Director of Nursing in 2002, and again in 2004 to Vice President of Patient Services. Her service to HVCH continued to be invaluable, and in 2013 she became interim CEO. In 2015 the HVCH board appointed Julie as the new permanent CEO where she continues to lead the organization in that role today.
Mrs. Stuck brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Hocking County. She received her 1993 Clinical Excellence in Nursing from The Ohio State University, held oversight of the HVCH Surgery Expansion, Med/Surg & Skilled Renovations, and also developed the Hocking Hills Urgent Care – reducing the number of patients who left without being seen by 97%.
She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from West Virginia Northern Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Liberty State College, and more recently her Masters in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University.
As an additional accomplishment, Mrs. Stuck was a guest speaker at the HealthStream National Convention held in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2014.
Julie grew up in the very small town of Pughtown, in northern West Virginia, (much smaller than Logan, Ohio,) where there were only two streets, one post office, two churches, and one very small grocery store. No gas stations or bars were located in the community. She currently lives in Fairfield County, where she enjoys reading, golfing and playing the piano as her leisurely activities.
Executive Assistant - Ginger Johnson is Hocking Valley Community Hospital’s Executive Assistant. Employed with HVCH since 1997, she took her current position in 2015 following an 18 year history of working in various positions. Beginning as a receptionist in the Community Relations Office, she quickly began her ascent throughout the hospital and was promoted to Community Relations & Foundation Secretary. From there she transitioned to Secretary for vice President of Patient Services while also holding the position of Medical Staff Credentialing Secretary. Graduate of Logan High School, she also received her Associate’s Degree in Marketing and Customer Service from Hocking College, Nelsonville, Ohio. Her skills have enabled her to achieve Healthcare Worker of the Year Award in 2007, as well as serving on many committees including Employee Activities, Standards of Behavior and the Navigation Team. Married with three children, she states that her children’s interests have become her own. Very active in the local 4-H program, she currently serves as Alumni Advisor and 4-H Committee Member. She takes her annual vacation during the Hocking County Fair and loves photography, scrapbooking and baking. Of interesting note, her mother previously worked at HVCH, retiring after 31 years of service in the Accounts Payable Department. It would be fair to say that Ginger has practically grown up at HVCH.
Julie Grow, BSH, MBA
|Stacey Gabriel, RN, BSN, CEN, EMT-B, MHAChief Nursing Officer - Stacey Gabriel has been with Hocking Valley Community Hospital for 21 years and is currently serving as the Chief Nursing Officer. She started her career at HVCH working as an LPN in the Skilled Nursing Facility. Throughout her career she has worked in various clinical settings including Med-Surg, Special Care Unit, Surgery, and the Emergency Department. In 1999 Stacey transitioned into a Nursing Supervisor role. In 2004 Stacey became the Director of the Emergency Department and Urgent Care and Emergency Preparedness and served in that role for eleven years. In August of 2015, Stacey was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer.In addition to her role with Hocking Valley Community Hospital, for the past five years Stacey has been a flight nurse with Air Evac Lifeteam and also works for Hocking County EMS as an EMT-Basic.
Stacey graduated from Hocking College in 1995 with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing. In 2004 she returned to school at Ohio University and completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2007. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University June 2016 with a Master’s Degree in Business and Healthcare Administration.
Stacey was raised in Logan, Ohio. She continues to reside here with her fiancé Josh, and their four childen, Madison, Carter, Mollie, and Carson.
|Latricia Johnston, BA
Chief Public Relations Officer - Latricia Johnston recently joined Hocking Valley Community Hospital as the new Chief Public Relations Officer. She comes to HVCH from Fairfield Medical Center having served as Development Officer for the Foundation and more recently FMC’s Centennial Project Director. She brings to HVCH over 24 years of non-profit, corporate, higher education communications and philanthropy. Johnston received her Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Christian University majoring in Business Administration in 2008, graduating cum laude and a member of Delta Epsilon Chi and Pinnacle Honor Society. More recently she received her certificate of completion through Lancaster Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, the course study of planned giving through the University of Wisconsin Madison, Wisconsin School of Business, and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. She has worked for Central Ohio Technical College, Ohio Christian University, Faith Memorial Church, and Bob Evans Corporate Office. Johnston was raised near Gibisonville in Hocking County, daughter of Rev. Lawrence and Etta Ruth Sullivan. In her spare time Latricia enjoys spending time with husband Steve Johnston, and doing yoga, playing the piano, gardening, and walking her dog.
|Lauren Barber, BS, MBA
Human Resources Director - Lauren joined the HCVH team in 2017 and most recently served as the HR Director at Respite Connections, Inc., a small nonprofit organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Central Ohio. Lauren brings with her over 18 years of human resources experience in healthcare, human services, and nonprofits. In 2000, she graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology from The Ohio State University and completed her Masters in Business Administration from Capital University in 2006. Lauren serves as a volunteer trustee and officer for the Brain Injury Association of Ohio and the Central and Southern Ohio Chapter of the ALS Association. She grew up in Hilliard, Ohio and currently resides in Columbus with her husband, Brett, and their dog, Ozzie. Lauren enjoys gardening, antiquing, crafting, reading, and taking road trips whenever she can.
