Application Process
In order to become a member of the team at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, you will be required to complete an application for employment. You can obtain the application by printing one from our website, or by picking one up in the Human Resources office Monday through Friday from 7:30 – 4:30.
Along with the application you will be required to sign an acknowledgment that you have received and reviewed the Hocking Valley Community Hospital Standards of Behavior. These Standards are part of what differentiates our culture from other organizations, and we expect all of our team members to demonstrate these characteristics.
Once you are selected to be interviewed for a position, there are multiple steps in the process. Initially you will meet with the department director or his/her designee. Following this, a limited number of qualified candidates will be forwarded to a team for peer interviews where the selection will finally be determined. Should you be the person chosen through this process, you will be contacted by a member of the Human Resources team and offered the position conditional upon successful completion of a physical. You will then be required to complete pre-hire paperwork and then you will be assigned a formal orientation date.
Professional attire is appropriate during orientation, where you will meet with the President and members of the Senior Leadership Team on your first day. You will be provided an orientation designed to meet your specific needs as you learn more about Hocking Valley Community Hospital, its philosophy, culture, leadership practices, services to the community and our policies and procedures. You will be compensated for the time you spend in orientation at your base rate of pay.
