HVCH receives generous toy donation

Hocking Valley Community Hospital recently received a generous donation of patient comfort items in memory of Morgan Lynnae Enderle from her family.

Ginny Hamilton, Morgan’s grandmother, witnessed exceptional care provided to a young patient in HVCH’s Laboratory Department. This kind act of patience from the healthcare worker sparked the family’s interest in making a donation of toys to the HVCH Foundation.

In the past, Hamilton and family always memorialized the sad loss of Morgan at the age of 21 by making toy donations to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. This year, they decided to make a huge toy donation to HVCH to help those young patients during difficult encounters while visiting the hospital.

The toys, including books, puzzles, trucks and dolls, were distributed to the Laboratory Department, Emergency Department and Urgent Care to utilize for young patients when needed.

“On behalf of our patients, staff, hospital and Foundation board, ‘thank you’ to Ginny Hamilton and Heather Hughes (Morgan’s mother) for memorializing their loved one and making a difference here at HVCH,” Latricia Johnston, Chief Public Relations Officer said. “Philanthropy leads from the heart and invests in others and this generous gift is truly a perfect illustration.”
