Chieftain Clinic featured in video

Logan’s Chieftain Clinic, a partnership between Hocking Valley Community Hospital and the Logan-Hocking School District, was featured in a video from the Ohio School-Based Health Alliance. The video focuses on the many advantages school-based health centers provide students and the community, including:

  • Removing barriers, expanding access
  • Supporting healthier students, stronger schools
  • Driving whole-child health, whole-community impact

The Chieftain Clinic is located at Logan High School and serves students of all ages, grades preschool through 12. Transportation is available free of charge to elementary and middle school students for well visits, vaccinations and other services.

Clinic hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with Candice Kilbarger, Certified Nurse Practitioner.

Services offered include:

  • Treatment of acute illness such as sore throat, sinus infection, flu, and common cold
  • Chronic Disease management such as asthma and diabetes
  • Sports and Pre-Employment Physicals
  • Comprehensive annual wellness visits
  • On Site Testing such as blood sugar, flu, strep, and urinalysis.
  • Vaccinations

Parental or guardian consent is required for each visit. We welcome and encourage parents to join us in the clinic for their student’s visit, however, we know that may not always be possible. In this instance, a signed consent for treatment must be on file prior to their visit. You may also choose to give permission for another adult to accompany your student to their visit.
