The Emergency Department at Hocking Valley Community Hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the care you need, when you need it.


Patient rushed to EROur emergency department provides initial treatment to patients with a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and require immediate attention. In cases of extreme trauma, we can stabilize and transport patients efficiently. A helipad is just outside our emergency treatment facilities. Our dedicated and experienced team is committed to delivering exceptional 24-hour emergency care.

When to Seek Emergency Care

Call 911 or ask someone to drive you to the nearest hospital if you are exhibiting symptoms or conditions such as:

  • Breathing Trouble
  • Chest Pain
  • Deep Cut
  • Head Injury
  • Ingestion
  • Paralysis
  • Seizure
  • Severe Burn
  • Severe Head/Neck Pain
  • Suicidal Thoughts
  • Traumatic Injury
  • Uncontrolled Bleeding
  • Unresponsive
