HVCH welcomes new Chief Human Resources Officer

Angela Anderson has joined Hocking Valley Community Hospital as new Chief Human Resources Officer.

Angela has 20 years of human resource experience in the healthcare setting, most recently as the CHRO of a Federally Qualified Health Center organization. Angela has effectively managed all areas of human resources and people development including recruiting, training, onboarding, staff development, reward and recognition, employee engagement, performance management, benefits, payroll, workers’ compensation and leave management. In addition to background in healthcare, she also has worked with non-profit organizations and manufacturing.

“We’re excited to welcome Angela to our leadership team,” said Stacey Gabriel, HVCH CEO. “Her extensive experience in healthcare human resources and her passion for developing and supporting employees make her a tremendous asset to our organization and our community.”

Angela hails from the Cleveland area, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in HR Management. She volunteers in several ministry programs through her church, the Hard Hatted Women program, and others. She comes from a large family and has one son. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crocheting and traveling.

Angela was drawn to human resources as a way to connect with people.

“It’s rewarding work and working with health care feels all the more meaningful,” Angela said.
