New titles added to HVCH Leadership Team

Hocking Valley Community Hospital is pleased to announce IT Director Chad Moore and HR Director Megan Wright have new titles in their roles on the hospital’s leadership team.

Chad Moore joined HVCH in 2022; his new title is Chief Information Officer.

“Every new project and piece of equipment has some sort of IT component to it. We understand that this will only continue to increase over time. Cybersecurity concerns also pose a huge risk to healthcare facilities. Because of critical role of IT in day-to-day operations, Chad has been promoted to Chief Information Officer and added to the Senior Leadership Team,” Stacey Gabriel, HVCH President & CEO said. “His knowledge and experience will be a great asset to SLT and we look forward to working with him in his new capacity. He will continue to run the daily operations of the IT team.”

Moore was born and raised in Hocking County and is a graduate of Logan High School. He attended Ohio University and graduated with a Computer Science degree. After college, he was employed by JD Equipment (currently AG Pro) as their IT Administrator, then landed at Tri-County Career Center as a Technology Coordinator.

Since joining the HVCH Information Services team, he has been involved in several technological upgrades including the addition of guest Wi-Fi access across all hospital facilities, implementing Office 365 on all computers, launching a new telephone system to span all hospital sites eliminating downtime with communication systems, and assisting in the implementation of a security camera and door access systems for the safety of staff and patients. He also worked with the technology department at Logan-Hocking School District to connect the new School Based Health Clinic to hospital resources.

“I have been blessed in my past positions to work with wonderful people, and at ‘The Valley’ it’s no different. Everyone here is patient and community driven and I am glad to be a part of that,” Moore said.

Megan Wright joined HVCH in 2020; her new title is Chief Human Resources Officer.

“Megan is an exceptional leader. She understands that people are the foundation of everything we do at Hocking Valley Community Hospital and we are thankful for her guidance in enhancing the work experience for all our employees,” Gabriel said.

Wright is from Grove City, Ohio. She started in management and Human Resources in 2006 and has worked in the healthcare and IT industries, with 10 of those at Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. She is passionate about employee coaching and development, process and performance improvement, employee relations, training, policies and procedures, and leading by example.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Wright helped create policies and procedures for employees to ensure safety and provide education. She independently staffed open positions during and after the pandemic so the hospital did not incur large costs associated with staffing agencies. Since joining HVCH as the HR Director, Wright has implemented a new Human Resources Information System (HRIS), new Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Grow Your Own employee program, and added more employee-friendly policies to improve satisfaction and engagement. She also has helped expand involvement with local schools and colleges to support students working, interning, and shadowing at the hospital.

“I love that HVCH is full of passionate people who are working hard every day for the betterment of patient care and for our community. I have worked in both large and small organizations and love knowing everyone’s name here and knowing it’s a tight-knit, supportive group. HVCH was very welcoming to me as a ‘transplant’ and this is truly the best organizations I’ve had the pleasure to work with, and I count my blessings each day to be here.”
