Hocking Valley Community Hospital (HVCH) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. John Ireton as the new Medical Director of the Rural Health Clinic, effective immediately. Dr. Ireton succeeds Dr. Brian Still, who recently retired after years of dedicated service to the hospital and community.
Dr. Ireton brings more than two decades of experience in internal medicine and a long-standing commitment to HVCH. He joined the hospital in December 2003 and has been board certified in internal medicine since 2004. In addition to serving as a specialist in internal medicine, Dr. Ireton is currently accepting new patients.
Throughout his tenure at HVCH, Dr. Ireton has demonstrated strong clinical leadership and a deep dedication to quality patient care. He has held several key leadership roles, including Chief of the Department of Medicine and Chief of Staff, and has served on multiple hospital committees, contributing to strategic planning, clinical excellence, and organizational improvement.
“Dr. Ireton’s extensive experience, institutional knowledge, and collaborative leadership style make him exceptionally well suited for this role,” Stacey Gabriel, President and CEO. “We are confident he will continue to advance our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care to our community.”
As Medical Director of RHC, Dr. Ireton will oversee clinical operations including both the family and pediatric practices, support fellow providers and staff, and help guide the clinic’s ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care.
Hocking Valley Community Hospital extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Brian Still for his years of service and leadership and warmly welcomes Dr. Ireton into his new role.
